THE ECU IS PART OF A CONVERSION KIT, 24-755-169S. 

The conversion kit ( FYI ) is used to convert older 24 AND 32 pin ECU’s over to the presently available 32 pin ECU.

Basically all the original EFI “stuff” is removed from the engine and the items in the kit are installed in place of the OLDER  EFI components, reference Kohler instruction sheet TT-5239 ( pdf ) for instructions for installing the kit.
